Philips Smart Tv Web Browser Download
I have an LG 4k smart TV bought earlier this year. I want to use it to search the internet. Web searches on my pc say th way to this is to press the home key on the remote and screen will then diisplay /// on bottom right which can be used to access the web browser. This option does not work on my TV, /// do not appear.
The LG launcher bar does appear along the bottom of the TV screen and if I scroll along to the right, it displays a tab called web browser. ,saying OK to this brings up a screen titled web browser and an empty box labelled new tab, However this web browser screen does not display a keyboard, pressing OK does not activate the keyboard and I cannot find any way to do this. LG customer support have not replied to my query about it.
Has anyone else had this problem and solved it or can anyone suggest how to solve it?

I am trying to figure out if all of the Smart TVs have the built in web browser. I have read a review of the UN46D6400 that says it does NOT have a browser. Other places it looks like if it has the smart tv then it DOES have the browser. I am interested in the UN55D6400 or UN46D6400. I know I would have to add the LinkStick or whatever its called to actually active the internet options. I also have read many people arent too happy with the browser, but it wold be cheaper than adding a computer to my other assorted electronics.
Thanks.

Another web page mentioned that sometimes one can download and add 'apps' to such a smart TV, which might allow you to add a web browser capability to this TV. If this answer is still in any way inadequate, just ask for further details and I will try to get the right and complete answer to you.
