Released in December of 2001, Sonic Advance returned the series to the traditional 2D style of game play, and would later spawn two sequels, and it's game play style would be used for the Rush games as well as the DS versions of Sonic Colors, Generations and Lost World and more. You play as Sonic and his usual gang of friends as you speed through the 3 Acts (levels) each Zone (world) contains, as well as fight an end boss in each Act 3. Gameplay is very fast and responsive and is a must play for any Sonic fans. Gamers who aren't fans of the series should still find enjoyment and entertainment in this neat little gem.

Sonic Advance (U)(Lord Moyne) is a game that was released by Sega. Wow. Sonic and his friends must work together to beat Dr. Eggman. I love this game even if Sonic is still the fastest hedgehog alive.

Sonic Advance 2 Rom Emuparadise

Sonic advance was one of the first games I ever got for my GBA. It astonished me, in that a handheld can produce a game which is beter than the previous Sonic games I've owned on my Genesis. the graphics were smooth, the levels were large and interesting, and all of my favorite characters were playable! even Amy, who plays like more of a platformer than a Sonic game, but was still awsome when you use the hammer on baddies.
Though the game overall is short, it contains everything a traditional Sonic game needed,like loops, speed, challenging platforming, chaos emeralds, and hidden 3D bonus rounds. I don't mind so much that they used the new Sonic character design, because the gameplay is all that matters in the end.
plus, Sega and NINTENDO!!!?!?!?! this was new to me in all the wrong ways! luckily, Nintendo has a hard time telling developers, 'NO!', which is probably why sega isn't completely dead yet. (I know, Xbox and PS2, but they had to start somewhere.)
over all, a great alternative to hauling around your sega genesis, or finding a Nomad.
